This is my first post on our new website “Yeah”.

My husband David has been filling up our website while I have been busy drawing illustrations for our new children’s picture book That Greedy Goat Just Cannot Stay.

The reason I’ve been too busy to contribute is that David thought he would add to my workload by sweetly and tentatively asking if I could draw a picture for his rhyme the goat in the coat ready for Dr Seuss’s birthday on the 2nd of March.

I’m glad I did it.

I love the little girls expression, I know I drew it, but I love how she came out. You can see the no nonsense attitude just by looking at her. That little girl is having none of it. Whatever that goat is saying isn’t washing over her.

She could easily encourage me to use her character and expand on what my husband started with his fun project for Dr Seuss Day.

You know what they say a picture can paint a thousand words or in the case of a children’s picture book, an illustration can paint a whole world for a child.

Now I have finished David’s picture, I’m taking the rest of the day off.
